The good news is we’re all living longer. The bad news is
with a shrinking work-force there are fewer and fewer of us to
support the retired and elderly. Worryingly, more than half of
the people over 65 have a long-standing illness, and two
thirds of those are limited in their ability to perform simple
everyday tasks. With state support becoming the exception
rather than the rule increasing numbers of people are quite
sensibly taking the decision to provide privately for their
long-term care. Once again careful forward planning is an
essential element. At IN2 we have special expertise in the
provision of funding long-term care and are able to advise and
help you secure the quality of care you would expect in later
years.
The closer clients get to requiring benefits the more IN2
focuses on the security of funds and the mix of future options
that are to be secured. It’s vitally important at this stage
– we call it ‘the seven year window’, that clients get
the specialist advice they’re going to need to identify the
most appropriate solutions.
As well as providing peace of mind Critical Illness and
Disability Protection helps ensure that if a critical illness
does strike, at least there’s the comfort of financial
independence. The market for this type of product is
relatively new and many providers do not offer comprehensive
cover and impose restrictions. So you will need to take care
in selection.
