Howard Hopkins


Has been in financial services all his working life which began with seven years in what was then the Ministry of Pensions and National Insurance. This period was interrupted by two years national service during which time he served with the Royal Signals in both the UK and what was then West Germany. The civil service was followed by nearly seven years in the building society movement during which time he was advances manager of the Bedfordshire Building Society.

In April 1970 after becoming increasingly interested in insurance and investment, he joined Save & Prosper with whom he remained for eight years in roles relating to both direct selling and broker servicing. In august 1978 he entered the field of insurance broking and has run his own business from 4/2/85 until joining IN2 consulting limited on 1/4/03.

Qualifications obtained by written examination are Building Society Institute A.B.S. (now A.C.I.B.) and A.C.I.I. insurance qualification.

Interests are many and varied, including most sport, long distance running and walking, gardening and travel.
